Magenta + special guests
Magenta play The Borderline – August 31st 2013 as part of the launch weekend for their latest studio album ‘The 27 Club’.
Since the release of ‘Revolutions’ back in 2001 Magenta have built a dedicated following all over the world. From the many festival appearances in North America to their conquests across Europe, Magenta’s live performances have reached legendary status among progressive rock fans, but it is in the UK where Magenta are best known. Magenta recently won several awards at the Classic Rock Society’s annual awards event including best gig, best female singer (for the record 9th time) and best guitarist.
Their appearances at The Borderline have become automatic entries in many music fans’ diaries and Magenta hope to make the August gig one to remember as it will be part of the album launch weekend for their 6th studio album ‘The 27 Club’.
Expect to hear several tracks from the new album and also loads of old favourites. (support will be announced at a later date)
Magenta’s Rob Reed says “I’m really excited about the release of ‘The 27 Club’. To my ears it’s full-on prog with a capital ‘P’ and in the vein of ‘Seven’ and ‘Metamorphosis’. I personally can’t wait to play the songs live and I’m sure the fans won’t be disappointed”.
