Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre
International guitar legend’s 65 date international tour
Martin Barre, legendary Rock guitarist, who toured the world with Jethro Tull for 43 years, is back on the road across the UK and Europe with his new band including vocalist and acoustic guitar player Dan Crisp and drummer George Lindsay.
He kicks off the tour at the Herzberg Festival in Germany on 2nd August with the final gig concluding in the UK on 21st December in Budleigh Salterton, Devon.
With strong demand for Martin’s incredible guitar playing, he has a staggering 65 dates scheduled in 2014 including Skegness Blues Festival in the UK and the German Haugesund Festival.
A further 20 gigs are scheduled across the UK including Ilminster, Bristol, St Ives, Oxford, Cardiff, Wolverhampton, Bolton, Liverpool, London, Leicester, Cambridge, Sheffield, Derby, St Helens, York, Newcastle and Leamington Spa.
Throughout the Autumn Martin will play 17 gigs in Germany, with additional dates booked in Slovak Republic, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Russia and Switzerland.
“The 2013 tour was a real success so I decided to extend dates this year across Europe and the UK to include Russia, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. It’s going to be an exciting set with original versions of blues classics plus I will be showcasing new music from my upcoming album”.
