Annie Eve + Jake Morley
Annie Eve’s hushed, intense acoustica is going to make waves this year and next. Prepare to be engulfed by this 22 year old from High Barnet, North London – once briefly the home of Amy Winehouse. She has already supported Daughter, Fionn Regan and Little Green Cars and issued two EPs. Her debut single, Elvis, gained support from Huw Stephens, Alice Levine on Radio One, Mary Anne Hobbs (it was a 6 Music Breakfast Show Record of the Week), John Kennedy (including XFM’s Evening Playlist) Steve Lamacq, Dermot O’Leary and more.
In February 2014, following a sold-out headline gig at St Pancras Old Church, the captivating performer undertook the Communion New Faces tour with Luke Sital-Singh, Eliza and the Bear and Farewell J.R, where she drew praise for her haunting vocals and intimate, imagistic confessionals.
Her second EP, Feversome, came out in March 2014 on Young and Lost Club, the label responsible for early releases by Bastille, Everything Everything and Noah & The Whale. It featured three tracks, all written and performed by Annie (except for slide guitar and accordion), and was produced by Jolyon Vaughan Thomas, who has worked with British Sea Power and Daughter. Comparisons were made with everyone from Regina Spektor and Cat Power to Bon Iver and Kurt Cobain.
Annie Eve has confirmed a short tour in October, playing venues in Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester and London.
