One Night Only
ONE NIGHT ONLY PREMIERE NEW SINGLE PLASTICINE ON NEON GOLD
After a few years hiatus, One Night Only returned in October with the release of a brand new single, Get Around To It, and a plan to do things their own way under their own terms. They also announced an intimate show in December at London’s Sebright Arms, which sold out in one day.
Today, they’ve premiered new single Plasticine which is streaming over at Neon Gold, and is on pre-order on iTunes now. A limited edition transparent orange 7” vinyl is available to pre-order from the band’s website, and they’ve also have announced a UK tour, kicking off on 3rd February 2015.
Plasticine, written and produced by One Night Only and Rupert Lyddon, was recorded in Rat Salad Studios in Hornsey, London, and will be released through the band’s ONO label. It’s about the need to change or transform, and the attempt to become comfortable in your own skin as milestones come and go. The b-side, ‘Got It’s Charms’, tells the story of someone pushing limits, not listening to reason and being dragged under.
One Night Only are certainly back, and more confident and exciting than ever. After deciding to take a few years out, giving some time to properly evolve before emerging again as a band, they wanted to return to music doing things their way, spending the past year writing and recording their third album and developing a new sound. The band chose to regain control of their own destiny and are managing and releasing the new music fully themselves.
Looking forward to 2015, One Night Only intend to drop their new album, and will continue to release new tracks, as well as touring around the UK.
