Meet The Parades. The three piece from Reading who combine funk, indie pop and soul. Dan Bartlett (Vocals), Andy Burge (Bass) and Callum Walton (Drums) find inspiration from such artists as Jamiroquai, Bill Withers and Earth Wind and Fire.
The Parades finished 2014 having played well over one hundred shows that calendar year including Isle of Wight and Somersault Festivals. The band now head into 2015 with unwavering momentum. The Parades set out on their first headline tour in March. The ‘March Into Major’ tour takes the band across the UK performing in front of a fan base easily adopted throughout 2014 – a fan base that is growing rapidly with each electrifying show the band plays.
Their debut EP ‘In The Moment’ was released last July and attracted a great deal of attention. The release included three tracks ‘In The Moment’, ‘Swim Through The Waves’ and ‘Weather’ and was accompanied by the boys’ first video for ‘In The Moment’. The EP has had huge support from BBC Introducing, and led to the band being asked to headline the BBC Introducing Christmas Show at the end of the year.
The Parades have been writing and recording the tracks for their follow-up EP, which will be released in tandem with the March tour.
