4th Annual Evening with Kip Winger plus Voodoo Vegas
Kip Winger’s engaging annual show at The Borderline show returns for its fourth year, featuring a host of fan favourites from Winger the band and Kip’s extensive back catalogue.
“Kip Winger is one of the best writers of the past three decades. The quality never dips. From his own solo stuff through to the Winger hits” – Classic Rock Magazine
While perhaps best known for his success with Winger, the range and scope of Kip Winger’s musical journey can be more fully experienced in his solo albums, This Conversation seems like a Dream, Songs from the Ocean Floor ,From the Moon to the Sun and his most recent composition Ghosts, for string orchestra, piano and harp.
“I have three different things I do: solo records, classical music and the band. And the sound of Winger is when Reb plays guitar and I play bass, and we write from that perspective,” Winger explained in an interview with Songfacts. “It’s really helped my rock writing to have studied composition for so long, because I can now take a riff that normally any given band might repeat four times, and then move to the next thing … Bach never did anything more than three times, so there’s a whole plethora of stuff that I do on both levels. One feeds the other.”
Support comes from hard rockers Voodoo Vegas, completing a line-up set to light up the stage all night.
