Following the band’s sophomore album ‘Lose Your Way’ released in June, Love Amongst Ruin have announced a headline date here at The Borderline this autumn.
Formed by former Placebo drummer, Steve Hewitt, who was the driving force behind the band’s first five albums, Love Amongst Ruin are full of creative fire and have already reaped scores of fans with an acclaimed debut.
Having shared the journey from post-Britpop indie hype band to multi-million selling international superstar, Steve had a lot to live up to when it came to Love Amongst Ruin and he didn’t disappoint. With its twists of New Order/Depeche Mode electronica, Can/Kasabian motorika, Cure atmospherics and hardcore Metallica riffs, the debut eponymous release firmly positioned him as an alt-rock contender in his own right.
With an brand new album of tracks ready to unleash on the live circuit, Love Amongst Ruin are ready to hit the stage once more. Don’t miss out.
“A collection of songs that deliver a harder rock kick than his former outfit, albeit one tempered with bright melodies and a sinuous, Queens Of The Stone Age-style groove.” – Kerrang!
”A pounding statement of intent, full of shimmering, driving guitars, but pinned together with dark, ominous undertones.’ – Music Week
Support on the night comes from Desert Mountain Tribe.
