Still led by legendary guitarist/frontman Stan Webb, Chicken Shack started in the British Blues Boom of the 1960s, exactly 50 Years Ago this year. This exclusive London show celebrates those 50 years.
The band has featured an astonishing array of talent, including Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie, Keef Hartley, Hughie Flint, Tony Ashton , and now including former Ten Years After/Clouds bassist, Ian Ellis.
Stan Webb, one of the greatest ever Blues guitarists continues to tour the world. Stan Webb is one of a very few European guitarists from the 1960s who influenced a generation of British Blues performers. Together with the likes of John Mayall, Clapton, and Page, Stan helped make Blues popular and fashionable in the UK. charted with the slow Blues classic Chicken Shack charted with the slow Blues classic I‘d Rather Go Blind as well as the beautiful Tears In The Wind.
